The "What Kind of Izmir" series continued with the Big Design Izmir workshop

The sixth workshop following the "What Kind of Izmir?" panels took place on Monday, January 20, at the IzQ Entrepreneurship Center under the title "Big Design Izmir." Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dalya Hazar and Urban Design Specialist-Architect A. Sara Kerimi Bodur, the workshop addressed topics such as Izmir's current state in terms of design, the necessary infrastructure, human resources, and financial resources for becoming a city of design, existing concerns in the field of design, and inspiring practices. These discussions were framed within the three-horizon planning approach.
Participants offered suggestions on fostering participatory design processes, overcoming resistance to change, leveraging necessary technologies, and taking steps to adapt to innovations. The workshop concluded with an evaluation of the outcomes.
The next workshop will be titled "One Health Izmir."
