Our fifth workshop took place with the theme "Izmir Development and Innovation"

Our fifth workshop, titled “Izmir Development and Urban Innovation”, was held on Monday, January 6, at the İzQ Entrepreneurship Center, following the “What Kind of Izmir?” panel series. Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dalya Hazar and Dr. Pınar Börü, the workshop addressed key topics such as Izmir’s current state in terms of development and innovation, poverty, income inequality, the social solidarity economy, and the role of citizens in innovation and development processes, all within the framework of three horizon planning axes.
Participants presented their recommendations for steps to be taken toward a citizen-centered, participatory, and sustainable development and innovation process. The workshop concluded with an evaluation of its outcomes.
Our workshop series will continue with the “Big Design Izmir Workshop.”
