‘What Kind of Izmir?’ series' fourth workshop was about “Urban Data”

The fourth workshop following the ‘What Kind of Izmir?’ panels was held on Monday, 23 December at IzQ Entrepreneurship Centre with the theme of ‘Urban Data’. In the workshop moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dalya Hazar and Senior Urban Planner Hamidreza Yazdani, topics such as the development of a data-based business culture, diversification of data sources, the future of data, standardisation, collection, keeping up-to-date, storage and processing were discussed on the axis of three horizon planning.

Participants presented their suggestions on the steps to be taken in order to use data more effectively, to make urban planning processes healthier and to ensure data security. The workshop ended with evaluations on the study outcomes.

The fifth workshop in the series will be ‘Izmir Development and Innovation Workshop’.
