Third workshop: "Basins and Marine Ecosystem"

The third workshop in the “What Kind of Izmir?” series took place on 9 December 2024 at the IzQ Entrepreneurship Centre, focusing on the theme of “Basins and Marine Ecosystem.” Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dalya Hazar and Gökçe Küçük, the workshop explored pressing issues such as problems and threats to the region, effective water use, future expectations, and necessary changes to safeguard the basins and marine ecosystem surrounding Izmir. Discussions were structured using the Three Horizon Planning framework.
Participants shared actionable suggestions on steps to protect these critical areas and enhance their resilience and sustainability. The workshop ended with evaluations on the study outputs.
The next workshop will be organised with the theme of "Urban Data".
